Kalmar’s New Electric Reach Stacker at Test Phase
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a one-year agreement with Norwegian rail operator CargoNet covering the field-testing of a Kalmar Electric Reachstacker. Following the conclusion of the agreement, CargoNet has the option to continue with regular commercial operation of the machine. The agreement was signed in January 2022 and the machine will be delivered to CargoNet in Q1 of 2023. CargoNet, Norway’s leading rail-freight operator, has an equipment fleet that already includes 18 Kalmar reachstackers and one Kalmar heavy forklift truck.
