Hitachi are kings of tracked excavators for sale in the UK. Their machines typically outnumber all other manufacturers for used excavators for sale here at Plantpages. The company also manufactures “ZW” wheel loaders and rigid dump truck, but it is in “ZX” excavators that it excels. Plant machinery buyers may be confused in seeing the Hitachi brand combined with Fiat, but this only applies to machines built between 1986 and 2001. Similarly, Hitachi acquired the Euclid Trucks brand for their rigid dump trucks in 1998, although branding has been switched towards Hitachi in recent years. Hitachi construction equipment was initially sold in the UK through an independent dealer, HM Plant until the business was acquired in 2007 and changed its name to Hitachi Construction Machinery (UK) Ltd in 2014.
