Kubota dealer P.V. Dobson, has sold the first Kubota KX085-5 with two-piece boom to Windermere-based groundworks specialist Park Cliffe Farm Limited.

Park Cliffe Farm owner Jack Dickson started his business 14 months ago and undertakes contracting work for groundworks and trenching services, as well as site clearance, digging foundations for houses, drainage and new roads.

He commented: “The KX085-5 is a tremendous machine which can dig down hard in any direction, has a long reach, yet can ‘fold-in’ to enable work to be carried out in really tight areas. This is my second machine from P.V. Dobson, my first was a Kubota KX080-4 and the service and back-up from them is second-to-none.”

Gordon Smith, Construction Product Manager at Kubota UK, said: “Jack clearly sees the multiple benefits and advantages the two-piece boom will bring to his business, and I would like to congratulate him on his recent purchase.

“By having a two-piece boom which can change its configuration, this increases the excavator’s flexibility to work in various scenarios, improving the utilisation of the excavator. When combined with our legacy for reliability and durability, I am positive Park Cliffe Farm will be more than happy with their investment and the KX085-5 total cost of ownership.”
