Welcome to Marubeni-Komatsu Ltd – a wholly owned subsidiary of the Marubeni Group – a leading international corporation. We have been the sole distributor of Komatsu construction and mining equipment in the United Kingdom since 1972. Komatsu is the world’s second largest manufacturer of construction and utility equipment. The company was named after the city of Komatsu, situated on Honshu – the largest island of Japan, which is also where it was founded in 1921. One of the first machines Komatsu built was the crawler tractor, and has since then developed the world’s most extensive range of construction and mining equipment, including the world’s largest bulldozers (D575), the first hybrid excavator and the first excavator with integrated intelligent machine control technology.
