Japanese machinery manufacturer Kobelco gets its name from the parent company Kobe Steel which was building construction equipment in Japan back in the 1930s.
All Kobelco machines are still manufactured in Japan with sales and service operations run out of the Netherlands.
The company makes a range of excavators from under 1 tonne to 85 tonnes operating weight in addition to a series of crawler cranes from 80 to 300 tonnes lifting capacity.
These machines are popular in the UK’s used construction equipment marketplace – you will always find plenty of Kobelco machines for sale at PlantPages.
Short Radius machines are ideal for operators working on urban and residential jobsites and are increasingly popular due to ongoing requirements for roadworks and utility maintenance. With this in mind, Kobelco has revealed two new models to its SR range. The new SK230SRLC-7 and SK270SR(N)LC-7 follow Kobelco’s Performance x Design concept. Kobelco first introduced the Short Radius (SR) concept in 1996 and now has the largest SR range on the market covering machines from 1 tonne (SK10SR-2E) to 38 tonnes (SK380SRLC). SR machines benefit from a smaller working footprint, which means that they can access tighter working areas and can…>
The new Kobelco SK34SR-7 and SK39SR-7 replace the previous SK30SR-6E and SK35SR-6E and offer increased engine performance, improved operability, an updated cabin interior and easier maintenance. Model Range Improvements The Kobelco SK34SR-7 and SK39SR-7 deliver superior performance thanks to their increased engine output (from 18 to 19 kW). Their larger bucket cylinders (from 65 to 70mm) also result in a 15% increase in bucket digging force (from 27.8 to 32kN). In addition, the boom cylinder bore has been increased from 80 to 85mm for improved lifting capacity (SK39SR-7), while increased travel performance and an upgraded hydraulic system deliver faster combined…>
With an operating weight of 130 tonnes and a colossal reach of up to 40m, the Kobelco SK1300DLC is currently the world’s largest OEM manufactured building demolition machine. Its introduction to the European market in March 2022 was met with high expectations due to its superior productivity, versatility, easy transportation and the ability to use more powerful crushers at new heights. As the market leader for demolition equipment in Japan, Kobelco understands how challenging demolition jobsites can be, and machinery needs to be strong enough to withstand tough conditions, but also powerful enough to get the job done. With this in mind, Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V. has announced the launch of the next-generation SK550DLC-11 which delivers increased engine performance, enhanced durability and improved operator comfort compared with the previous model. The new Kobelco SK550DLC-11 replaces the SK550DLC-10, which first launched in 2018. Like its predecessor, and the smaller capacity SK350DLC and SK400DLC demolition models, the versatile SK550DLC-11 features Kobelco’s proven…>
The all-new Kobelco SK19 mini excavator combines a compact body with a high-output engine for high power and efficient operation, excellent stability with superior weight distribution and a well-designed, comfortable cab. The Kobelco SK19, which replaces the previous SK18-1E, delivers superior performance thanks to its bigger engine, new hydraulic system and newly designed working equipment. For example, the Yanmar Stage V-compliant engine delivers a 38% increase in power output (13.1kW versus 9.5kW), 10% increase in bucket digging force (16.7kN versus 15.2kN) and 26% increase in arm digging force (long arm/short arm @ 9.3/11.4kN versus 7.4kN). Lifting capacity has also been…>
