Making mini diggers as far back as the 1960s, Takeuchi started operating in the UK in 1996. Based in Rochdale, the UK has its own product support centre. The company makes a range of mini excavators and tracked dumpers plus a small range of hydraulic breakers to suit their excavator range. The range of excavators is extensive, stretching from a one tonne mini excavator to a 15.8 tonne midi excavator plus a wheel excavator at 9.5 tonnes. The range of tracked dumpers is more limited with only a 6.5 tonne TCR50-2 model available from new in the UK.
In the UK’s used market, buyers will see more Takeuchi mini diggers for sale than their dumper or larger excavators.

Takeuchi UK has expanded its new 3-Series excavator range with the new TB350R short-tail swing compact excavator, the company’s first five tonne class short tail model. To be launched in the UK at Plantworx, the new short tail 5-tonne TB350R has a rear swing overhang of only 75mm and weighs in at 5095kg. The new TB350R will be on the Takeuchi demo-zone at Plantworx, so operators can put the new model to the test.
