KALMAR STARTS ELECTRIC REACHSTACKER AND FORKLIFT PRODUCTION IN SHANGHAI
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, is to begin production of its electric reachstacker and Essential forklift truck range at the company’s Shanghai manufacturing plant. The production launch was celebrated at a themed ‘Electrify & Expand’ event on 6th December with customers and dealer representatives. Kalmar’s Shanghai plant opened in 2005 and manufactures a wide range of high-end cargo handling equipment including reachstackers, empty container handlers and terminal tractors. NEW KALMAR ELECTRIC FORKLIFTS FOR UK FLEET
Kalmar has concluded a deal to supply UK material handling equipment provider BJB Lift Trucks Ltd. (BJB) with 15 medium electric forklift trucks. The large order was booked in the Q2 2023 order intake with delivery scheduled for Q4 2023. BJB is a leading provider of MHE solutions across the United Kingdom. Headquartered in Grimsby in the country’s East Midlands region, the company serves customers across the UK with a wide range of forklift truck and industrial and construction machine solutions as well as operator training services. Kalmar’s New Electric Reach Stacker at Test Phase
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a one-year agreement with Norwegian rail operator CargoNet covering the field-testing of a Kalmar Electric Reachstacker. Following the conclusion of the agreement, CargoNet has the option to continue with regular commercial operation of the machine. The agreement was signed in January 2022 and the machine will be delivered to CargoNet in Q1 of 2023. CargoNet, Norway’s leading rail-freight operator, has an equipment fleet that already includes 18 Kalmar reachstackers and one Kalmar heavy forklift truck.
